When I was about three years old I had these awesome Wonder Woman underpants and I used to streak the neighborhood in them. I could never get my mother to understand that it was ok because I was flying my invisible plane. No one could see me. Duh. Needless to say, I knew when I grew up that I wanted to be Wonder Woman and have been training for it ever since.
If you haven’t figured out yet, I love bacon. I like other foods too and I like to think I’m slightly dangerous in the kitchen, but really anyone wielding sharp objects by the oven could claim the title. After breaking my back two years ago, I dove headfirst into the paleo lifestyle in an effort to reduce inflammation and speed up my recovery. And it did just that. Not only did I bounce back strong than ever, but combined with Crossfit, I got into the best shape of my life despite being in my mid-thirties.
I love cooking, crossfit (training and coaching), and napping with my cat Cooper. I am married to the greatest guy on the planet, mostly because he supports me and all my craziness to the end of the earth and loves me despite my flaws. The fact that he willingly agreed to join me on this paleo adventure the second time around is still blowing my mind.
I will do my best to give shoutouts to the cooks behind my favorite recipes. There is no way I’d have the patience or talent to hack so many dishes. And while my goal is a post a day, if the nation needs me to fight super-villains, know that I might go MIA from time to time. Duty calls.
